A SEARCH FOR SN1006-LIKE SNRS IN LMC


ABSTRACT

This proposal is to search the first SN1006-like SNR in the Large Magellanic Cloud. We have carefully selected the most prospective targets from the Einstein catalog, with the aide of a new technic to predict the classification of unrevealed X-ray sources from their spectral hardness ratio. Discovery of new SN1006-like SNRs in LMC will provide us with critical data to discuss the origin of high energy cosmic-rays more quantitatively.
