Dear ASCA users: As informed, ASCA AO-8 observation targets and exposure times are modified for about 2000 ksec (see ASCA home page on Web). The long-term observation timelime for the later half of AO-8 period from August 2000 to February 2001 will be uploaded on the Web next week. All the currently accepted AO-8 priority-A targets are on the schedule. In addition we will be able to observe a few high ranked priority-B targets during the period. On the basis of this long-term timeline, we will hereafter release short-term observation schedules of a unit of two weeks to a month, each about a month ahead as was the case till AO-7. Following, please find an ASCA observation schedule for the period of August 8 to August 20. Please contact Paul (Paul@astro.isas.ac.jp) and Chiho (chiho@astro.isas.ac.jp) if you have questions on the ASCA schedule. Paul Hilton will leave ISAS in late July and Chiho Matsumoto will take over the ASCA scheduling task after then.
