The bias voltage from one out of four high-voltage units has been reduced to 400 V since 2006 May 29, due to the in-orbit damage in a PIN diode. On October, 3, 2006, another bias was also set to 400V. In total, half of the PIN diodes are operated in 400 V bias, and another half in 500 V. This affected the total effective area of PIN diodes only at $\sim 6$%
